Altman Quits the Day After he is Hired.
![]() Dana Altman quit as Arkansas' basketball coach Tuesday just 26 hours after his hiring was announced. The coach apologized to Razorbacks fans "with deep regret" and said returning to Creighton was in his family's best interest.
University Chancellor John A. White announced Altman's departure at a hastily scheduled news conference outside Bud Walton Arena. "I knew it was a very difficult decision for them and their family," White said. [read more] |

SWEEP - Hogs take 3 from Tennessee
![]() KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – No. 7 Arkansas finished off a 3 game sweep of Tennessee in Knoxville Sunday with an 11-7 victory. The win keeps the Hogs at the top of the West division with a 7-2 record which is also tops in the conference.
The Hogs won game one Friday 6-2 and game two Saturday 4-3. The next game will be Tuesday in Baum Stadium at 7:05 PM against North Colorado for a 2 game series. How bout them Hogs! |

Welker, Todd Combine to Clinch Series at Tennessee, 4-3
![]() KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – No. 7 Arkansas clinched its Southeastern Conference series at Tennessee with a 4-3 win in front of 2,621 fans at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Arkansas shuts down the Vols in Game 1
![]() Knoxville, Tenn. - Nick Schmidt pitched a complete game 4 hit, 2 run game as the Hogs knocked off Tennessee in game one of their 3 game series this weekend at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville.
Schmidt moves to 6-0 on the season and the Razorbacks upped their overall record to 20-8 and a league leading 5-2 in conference. The teams meet again tomorrow at 3:00 PM and again Sunday at 1:00 PM. |

![]() FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Brian Walker’s fifth-inning grand slam was all No. 9 Arkansas would need to capture its weekend series with top-ranked Vanderbilt on Sunday with an 8-3 win in front of 7,985 fans at Baum Stadium.

Razorbacks Squeeze By Vandy; No Coaching Vacancy Yet
![]() ATLANTA (AP) -- Gary Ervin sank a jump shot with 11 seconds left to give Arkansas a 72-71 victory over Vanderbilt Friday and send the Razorbacks to the semifinals of the SEC tournament for the first time since 2001.
